About Jans Awnings
In 1966, Gerry & Jannie Jans founded the company from their home on Upper Middle Rd in Burlington. The initial focus was on aluminum awnings, storm windows and doors. In 1982, the retractable awning was added to the Jans product line and quickly became their featured item. The company was then passed on to their son Herman and his wife, Joanne. They have since expanded their product line to include retractable screens, patio enclosures, patio roofs, fabric replacements, and many other custom solutions. Today, Jans Awning Products is owned and operated by Herman and Joanne’s son, Darryl and his wife, Amanda.
